Everything here is about the details. There are few spots in Miami that care to go to the next level, but Soho Bay has gone above and beyond. This was my first dining experience at Soho Bay and I went with my girlfriends for dinner and drinks at sunset and then stayed for drinks in their outside lounge. The cocktails were beautifully crafted, the waiters attentive, and the dishes were mouth-watering. I could have stayed here all night!! The Thursday night DJ is a MUST-SEE. Highly recommend the tequila cocktail featuring red pepper. If I had to choose my favorite dish it would be the Wasabi Octopus! I'm so happy I found this hidden gem and will be returning soon. Perfect for a date, girls nights, or to sip a cocktail and share some dishes with friends at sunset, this is Miami's newest hot spot.

Pluses are great sunset views from porch, trendy music and good service. Unfortunately food is mediocre, portions tiny and prices high. Their robata is a joke. The octopus and corn had no robata flavor and did not even taste fresh. The corn was half a cob cut in 4 thin pieces with a stale taste for $10. Peeking into the kitchen there did not appear to be any real robata. Just an ordinary grill. Sashimi portions are tiny. They do no have low sodium soy sauce. The shishito portion is small. Half the size of Michael Swatz place and not really grilled. The spicy tuna roll was the only decent item. Drinks are expensive. However lemongrass mohito was good. Need to work on kitchen, portions and prices.

Been waiting for this place to open! Popped in to watch the sunset yesterday. Was only planning to stop in for a drink and an appetizer which seemed like it was a faux-pas as the staff were somewhat piranha like at first. The waiter offered to pick some starters for us and made some suggestions as to how we should order. We explained that we really just wanted to stay for a drink and watch the sunset but that we'd be back. Because they just opened they didn't have some of the wine on the menu. After attempting to order a bottle of Rose, we decided on 2 beers and the least expensive bottle of Sake instead....(apparently they were out of that particular sake too)...a woman, (maybe a manager), came and suggested one of the most expensive bottles. (We ordered 2 glasses instead). The experience was somewhat uncomfortable but it shows they are well trained. I just wish they would have asked what our intentions were from the start, so we didn't have to feel we were being cheap or something. I get trying to upsell, but it was a bit much. The waiter ended up being super nice and took a billion pictures of us with the sunset. He also let us know that our names would be stored in the computer and flagged as a "local" and it would also indicate our table preference so we would always get seated by the water when we came in. (Neato, I hope that really works)! We ordered the spicy tuna roll, which was probably one of the best I've ever had and overall, the service was awesome! Ambience was also amazing...even inside the restaurant. Be prepared to spend at least $60-75/head if you're drinking and actually want to have a full meal. Gratuity is included and they do charge $2 for water (I hate that).

The food was excellent! I looked at the reviews before going and I was happily surprised it was better than expected. The sushi was different and amazing!

Great spot to have dinner on the large patio overlooking the bay and watching the sunset. Staff is well trained and smothered us with attention, making an ordinary dinner feel like a special occasion. Our waiter Rich was awesome and suggested some special maki rolls that weren't even on the menu, based on our likes. This is no in and out get stuffed experience. While they do serve traditional maki rolls like rainbow or shrimp tempura under $20, you're going to want to try some of their specialties. They have some cooked Brazilian style rolls, a popular one being salmon, shrimp and goat cheese. Trust me, it's delicious. My only complaint, I wanted more. You only get three bites. The robata grill items are sized generously and don't break the bank. The eggplant was super yummy, and the BF loved the swordfish with three different dips. Entrees are in the $30 range and quite small, but the scallops we ordered were amazing, served with roasted beets, pears, miso butter and chopped pistachios. Overall, the menu is expectedly seafood and meat heavy. I'd like to see more veggies on it, especially greens. The crunchy spicy tuna roll is one of their most popular rolls. While small, it does have just the right amount of heat and truly doesn't need a sauce. Not crazy pricey at $15, but we didn't quite get why it's called crunchy. The only crunch was a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Save room for dessert! The matcha green tea souffle is baked to order and takes 20 minutes, but is well worth the wait. Apparently, my first souffle fell, so the chef sent out a deconstructed key lime pie with the most amazing bruleed meringue while we waited for him to bake another souffle. When my actual dessert arrived, I thought it was my birthday. Out came an 8 ounce ramekin with a perfectly puffed up souffle. Rich, our waiter, broke the top with two large spoons and theatrically poured the vanilla lemon creme anglaise into the center, causing some oohs and aahs from a table of ladies next to us. It was one of the best desserts I've had (and I've had a LOT). Warm pudding like center, with a cakey outer edge and crispy top. Kudos to the chef for making one of the most temperamental desserts, and making it perfect. We ended up with a $200 bill for a dinner for two. Not cheap, but an experience we'll remember.

My wife and I came in on Friday for dinner to celebrate. The atmosphere is great, the decor is inviting and the dining room is set perfectly. The menu is set up to where it can easily guide you through the entire dining experience. Small plates, robatta, rolls (both house specialties and classics), entrees and sides, and soups. We started with the wasabi octopus (which was incredible...very fresh tasting, beautifully presented, simple, and delicious). Next we ordered a couple of the specialty rolls (a salmon truffle avocado roll and a spicy crunchy tuna) both had great taste, texture, and a great presentation to go along with it all. Next came an order of the duck (cooked to perfection, probably the best duck i've ever eaten....hands down). We finished our meal with their signature dessert....a green tea matcha souffle (very delicate, very tasty, and also beautifully presented). The service was great, everyone was very attentive, and they made us feel as if we were VIPs (which is always nice). The manager came up to our table to chat, and I noticed he was doing the same with the rest of the guests as well. And truthfully, you can't beat the view of downtown/Brickell during sunset....it's amazing.

Attentive service and friendly staff don't quite make up for the inconsistent food quality. While my Walnut Tofu was excellent, my companions had Pork ramen was just weirdly prepared in undersized bowl, with chopped bits of pork and "ramen" that looked more like fettucini noodles; and their Teriyaki chicken was unforgivably undercooked with a pink interior. The exterior seating could be nice but they lack fans to discourage mosquitoes from dining on diners.

I came for an event so not familiar with the full menu, but the catering/events menu had some solid sushi with very high quality ingredients. The salmon brushed with truffle oil was a new one for me, and very enjoyable. The drinks are very unique, but also very hit-or-miss. The passion fruit drink in a bell pepper didn't really do it for me, and the nitro-mojito will really knock you out. I like that they are trying, but a little advice from the bartender may be in order to give some guidance. Also worth special mention is the ambiance - the views from outside are probably the best in town except for the Rusty Pelican on Key Biscayne. Sunset is especially nice. There is a municipal parking garage across the street that has very reasonable rates, and could avoid an expensive valet charge.

Probably the best Asian fusion food I've had in Miami. The service was excellent and every plate we had was perfect. Try the octopus and the duck! The caipirinha is the real thing, real Brazilian flavor! Ask to be seated near the water. The sunset view is simply amazing!

Wow !! This place is amazing! My husband and I had dinner at Soho Bay restaurant earlier this week and it was one of the best experiences we've had by far ! The restaurant is located by the water, with a beautiful view of the bay ! We planned our dinner coordinated with the sunset so we decided to be seated outside ! Our waiter, I believe his name was Philip he was very attentive and he recommended a few of his favorite dishes ! My husband and I are pescetarian but with their menu there are so many options that even if you are vegetarian you can still have an amazing meal. I definitely recommend the wasbi octopus, the octopus is very tender and fresh and the waiter explained that it goes through a very specific Japanese process to get it so moist and tender, bottom line very good ! My husband tried their ceviche, that was also very fresh tasting and lots of flavor. I ordered the wasabi octopus twice and my husband also had the swordfish dish and we shared their vegetarian roll "Forest" . If we could we would have ordered all the menu ! Amazing food quality! The atmosphere is over all very relaxing accompanied by the dj's music witch is loungy , funky vibes a very nice mix ! They also have a lounge where you can enjoy more of the dj's music after dinner ,or even if you re coming only for drinks with your friends! We had an amazing time and we will definitely return and this time bring our friends and family !! Highly recommend Soho Bay restaurant !

I've grown up eating at the best of sushi & fine cuisine This place does not meet any level of standards compared to Nobu, Moshi Moshi nothing near Oshi Thai for the price they are charging and food they are serving. The sushi & dessert was decent as was the waitstaff. We had the Duck, that wasn't supposed to be spicy. It was overcooked and covered in spice, came with no rice( every Asian dish should come with rice) for $40 bucks. A complete let down! We had the asparagus that was a COMPLETE JOKE! It's 3 pieces of joke on 2 skewers with 3 dipping sauces. The sauces must have cost more then the cheap veggie! After dinner we went to Moshi Moshi to finish out sushi fix and get real quality food! We asked to speak to a manager who never came and offered of dessert.. They are trying to be high end taking advantage of the customer!

I was happy to try the new sushi restaurant in my building. It seems tough to get to if you're driving, but it's a quick walk from the Bentley Bay condos. The space is modern and sprawling, decorated liberally with staff waiting for diners. The door was opened for us and we were lead to a great table on the water. I'm a bit peeved at restaurants charging for water, so the $2 fee for filtered that tastes like tap has to count as a negative. But I put that aside and ordered a light dinner with optimism. The menu is a great mix of standards and fusions. Prices range from ~$20 to surprising heights for the more eclectic items ($40, I think, for uni udon "mac and cheese"). I started with the Lion Fish, which I'd never had before. It was prepared like a crudo with a complicated cucumber / pickle / citrus sauce. The sauce definitely made the dish. It was really tasty. The fish itself was a little flavorless, but very fresh and served well as a base for the sauce. Next was the Crab and Kimchi roll. It's a large roll, wrapped in something that is not seaweed. Some vegetable. My girlfriend knows it was a radish. The whole thing was really tasty with a spicy, sriracha-like sauce. The kimchi flavor is pretty mild, but the overall taste of the roll was very nice. My girlfriend had the pork ramen, which came out looking like a work of art. I saw egg and corn and pork and carrots. It was really beautiful. Unfortunately the broth was bland, and the ingredients seemed more decorative than complementary. We will return and try more of the menu. The service and care put into the menu and dished definitely earn Soho Bay some more attention.

Really amazing stuff at this Brazilian-based newcomer. They picked an amazing and underserved spot and are sure to be popular with residents in the condos on the bay. The mojito pictured is strong! Looking forward to trying more of the menu and seeing if they set up a happy hour to take advantage of that great view.

Wow! One of the few meals in Miami I will never forget. The service was amazing. Food impeccable. Sunset drinks on the bay are very unique to Miami and this venue is truly one of a kind. We regularly eat at some of the top sushi restaurants and were very impressed at the over the top dinner presented. My fiancee and I will definetly return and recommend sitting outside next to the water. This place is a hidden gem and can't wait to return.

SOHO Bay has only been opened for two weeks but it surely doesn't seem like it. Located on the west side of Miami Beach with gorgeous views of Star Island and the downtown skyline, SOHO Bay is conveniently located off 395 and West Avenue. We had an earlier reservation at 7PM and were immediately greeted by friendly staff ready to assist. Indoor and covered outdoor patio area were very well laid out. The décor and ambiance of the restaurant is quite nice. It seemed fit for business travelers, couples, and families. Everything felt fresh, brand-new, modern, but not too over the top. Nick Smith was our server -- he was fantastic; and the GM Maximilian Heindl was friendly and very attentive to the guests and his team. The entire staff was friendly, accommodating, and confident. This wasn't a team that was thrown together last minute for opening, but it felt as though they were hand selected to be a part of this great experience. Over the course of the night we shared three cocktails. They all were artistically made, and one was even served in a green bell pepper. They were all delicious and smooth. The food and presentations were both great. Nick was knowledgeable of all of our dishes. We started with the Smoked Hamachi Hibachi. The presentation and flavor of the snapper and grapefruit were perfect (not pictured, sorry!). I forgot what the next one was called but it was a nice fried-rice cake topped with seasoned ground wagyu beef . Again, delicious. We had some of the Wasabi Octopus and were told that the octopus is massaged for 30-minutes prior to its slicing. It was tender, smooth, and great with the citrus sauce and peppers. The Salmon Belly was very nice. The crispy sweet potato compliments the smooth fresh salmon perfectly along with the citrus soy sauce. The Forest, a vegetarian roll, was light, fresh, and topped with caviar. Somehow, we still managed to have room for the Rib Eye Yakiniku, which was served with the most amazing brussel sprouts. The Green Tea soufflé was light, sweet, and delicious. Everything felt fresh, light, and healthy with perfect flavors. Anybody reading this needs to give this place a try if you haven't already. We'll be back!

I was excited for this to open and just went last night (Thursday). Very nice appearance, and on the water but pretty dead and I know why. The food and drink prices rival Zuma and Nobu but the food is average and service awkward. The edamame was spicy and good. The tempura had smaller shrimp for tempura, not very crispy and the vegatables included a shiitake mushroom - not good fried. The crunchy spicy tuna roll was very small and average. The secret is always the rice and this was Publix quality. The Rainbow roll was below average with a tiny strip of fish on top and super small pieces. We left and shared a pizza. The service. There had to be 4 managers and 10 waters for about 15 guests in a place that holds 150. They brought all our food out at once shuffling our food around to make room - it is sushi, it won't get cold! Refilled water once. Everyone was nice though and I can't say service was bad, just awkward.

Can't believe it. We just went for dinner, the restaurant was empty and the GM turned us away because I was wearing dress shorts, not long pants. We are locals and eat regularly at all the Prime restaurants, Il Mulino, Milos, etc...this was a first. It wouldn't have been as annoying except we went for lunch and they convinced us to try them for dinner. Never again.

This little gem tucked into a quiet corner on the beach should not be over looked. The food was not only well presented , but unique and delicious . The atmosphere of sitting outside on the bay with the sunset and down town as your backdrop is not often duplicated here on the beach. The staff were kind and well attentive . The decor is gorgeous. While they do charge $2 for a bottle of filtered water (plenty for 2 people), and the prices are a little higher, the experience is well worth it! We will be back again and again.

Oh my wow! What a wonderful experience I had at Soho Bay! We were seated out on the terrace overlooking Star Island, downtown and the bay. It is a stunning view at night! The cocktails were delicious! The brussels and edamame were a great way to start! We also ordered a spicy tuna roll and it was hands down, the best one I have ever had! We ordered the ceviche, beet salad, crab and kimchi, the marinated salmon for our appetizer and main course experience. The beet salad and salmon stood out amongst the rest! Our server Juan was great throughout the meal and paced our courses perfectly! He made wonderful recommendations and he even sent out a mushroom dish for us that ended up being a favorite! Dessert was wonderful and the GM Max came over to ensure everything was great! What a great location with a wonderful staff and great management with delicious food to offer! Looking forward to my next visit!
